Privacy Policy

• Account data: your email address. We use it to send you a magic sign-in link and nothing else.
• Recordings: the screen + camera + audio you capture, the AI-generated transcription, and the AI summary. Stored privately and accessible only via your share link.
• Billing data: if you upgrade to Pro, Stripe handles your payment information. Zubio never sees your card details — we only receive a subscription status from Stripe.
• Operational logs: error and uptime logs that may include your user ID, request paths, and timestamps. No recording content. Retained for 30 days.

• No third-party analytics, no ad pixels, no fingerprinting.
• No content from web pages other than what you capture in a recording.
• No browsing history.

Recordings stay private to your account and the people you share the link with. Share links are unlisted (unguessable IDs) and never indexed by search engines. We do not use your recordings for marketing, AI training, or any purpose other than serving them back to you and the people you share with.

The AI summary feature sends the audio of your recording to OpenAI's transcription + chat models. OpenAI's zero- retention API policy applies — they do not train on this data.

Free-plan recordings auto-delete 15 days after creation, and accounts are capped at 5 stored recordings. Pro-plan recordings retain for 60/90/180/365 days or indefinitely, depending on your account preference. Deletion is permanent: storage object and database row are both removed.

We use a small number of vendors to operate the service: AWS (hosting + storage), Stripe (billing), OpenAI (AI summaries), and our email-delivery provider. Each only receives the minimum data needed to do their job. We do not sell, rent, or trade your data.

You can delete any recording (or all of them) from your dashboard, change your retention preference on the account page, cancel your subscription at any time, or request account deletion by emailing hello@zubio.io.

We will post any material change to this policy on this page and update the “Effective” date above.
